Daimler Launches Global Initiative For More Environmentally Friendly Commercial Vehicles |

To kick things off this morning, Daimler has taken a moment to detail its
new "Shaping Future Transportation" global initiative to produce
commercial vehicles with environmentally friendly alternate drive
systems. Aimed at drastically reducing the emissions and fuel consumption
of commercial vehicles, the new initiative boasts a total of 16 different
trucks and buses with brands including Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner,
Mitsubishi and Orion, all of which feature alternate drive systems and
