Mercedes-Benz Launches New Navigation System For Their Atego, Axor And Actros Commercial Vehicles |

Mercedes has unveiled today a new navigation system for their Atego, Axor
and Actros model series commercial vehicles. In total, map material is
provided for 26 European countries, with a total of 15 European languages
available for the voice instructions. But what makes the new navigation
so unique isn't its ability to provide directions, as any navigation can
perform this task, but rather its ability to take into account the
specific requirements of commercial vehicles (weight restrictions, limited
height and width clearances, etc.) and subsequently provide the best route
taking into account these factors. To make the system work, the
vehicle's operator simply enters into the navigation system a number of
key details about the vehicle and load, and the navigation system handles
