Auto Bild Elaborates On The Rumored Mercedes SL Gullwing |

Earlier this week we brought you Auto Bild's photo illustration depicting what they thought an updated SL Gullwing might look like; but at the time, no specifics were given. Today, the German publication has added further fuel to the stoke the rumor flames, outlining a few things they believe might be found on a possible Gullwing revival. According to the article, if such a vehicle is in the works, it's being headed up not by Mercedes, but rather by the AMG team located in Affalterbach. The article continues by stating the vehicle will be powered by a 6.3-Liter V8 Biturbo, delivering approximately 750 horsepower. As for the vehicle's construction, the article debates what materials are being considered, with aluminum spaceframe, carbon, and plastic similar to that found on the Boeing Dreamliner jet all being mentioned.
